You can’t be all things to all people. That’s what we’ve always been told but is it true? Actors like Daniela Junko seem to rebuke this adage with a collection of performances in films which feel so authentic and so sincere that each one appears to be an actual person. Daniela’s nomination for Best Lead Actress from the Madrid International Film Festival for her role in 2017’s ALONE increased her international notoriety along with the film itself which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival and shortlisted for the Academy Awards (2018). ALONE’S director Angelo Perrino professes, “Daniela is so demanding with herself, she is only satisfied when she truly find the essence of her character. She doesn’t want to just pretend to be someone. She wants to see their truth through their eyes. She pours her soul into her character and that is rare.” Numerous filmmakers whom have worked with Ms. Junko echo this sentiment, leading to film offers from around the world. Even amidst the pandemic restructuring of work environments in the film industry, Daniela finds herself working on varied projects which offer her the range of characters and genres that challenge and excite a consummate professional such as she.
